Brampton parents tell Peel board that children’s walk to school unsafe because of coyotes

A Brampton couple has requested a transportation accommodation from the Peel District School Board due to concerns about coyotes in their neighbourhood.

Delegates Sukhvir and Karamveer Hundal say they spoke on behalf of parents in the Wychwood area at Wednesday’s regular board meeting when they asked trustees to provide busing this September.

Currently, two of the Hundal’s children (ages 7 and 10) receive courtesy busing to Churchville Public School, which opened this school year. But they will not be eligible for busing this coming school year.  The issue affects upwards of a dozen children in the neighbourhood.
