CUPE 1263 donates ‘everyday essentials’ to Niagara Region’s community support agencies

On Monday, December 21, long-term care workers, retirement homes workers and community support workers from the Niagara Region, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) 1263, will donate hundreds of ‘everyday essentials’ to seven local community support agencies that help the community’s most vulnerable residents.

“Our members are front line workers who help seniors and retirees in long-term care homes. We fully understand the need and importance of ‘everyday essentials’ that provide a little comfort to all our lives,” said Sue Schmidt, president of CUPE 1263. “That’s why this holiday season, CUPE 1263 is donating hundreds of everyday personal products to community support agencies that help out our Region’s most vulnerable residents.”
