Parents in Cornwall and SDG are hitting social media in dismay as they prepare for the likely possibility their children will be relocated to another school next fall.
Upper Canada District School Board trustees will examine a recommendation called Building for the Future Pupil Accommodation Review at its Wednesday meeting in Brockville.
On the highest-priority list to be shuttered are SDG high schools Char-Lan District and Seaway District, along with Longue Sault Public School. A recommendation to convert Rothwell-Osnabruck school into a JK – Grade 6 facility is also included, with its high school students shuffled into Cornwall schools.
The review cites the need to consolidate Upper Canada’s classroom spaces because there continues to be a steady decline in student enrolment.
