Peel residents are being warned of a possible disruption in garbage pick-up if labour negotiations hit a wall midnight tonight (Nov. 16).
The contractor handling more than half of the region’s garbage and recycling collection has tabled a final offer to its workers and given them until midnight to accept, according to the Region of Peel.
Workers have already rejected one offer, according to the region. If they reject this latest proposal, municipal officials explained, collection could be disrupted for many residents.
Affected collection routes would include all of Caledon, much of Brampton and Mississauga west of the Credit River.
