Communities in Leeds-Grenville have already done their part, according to Steve Clark.
The MPP issued a statement on Tuesday in response to a staff report being considered by trustees with the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB). A pupil accommodation review being proposed would consider the potential closure of 16 public schools at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year and an additional 13 closures beyond that period, subject to provincial funding being made available for constructing new schools or renovating existing facilities.
Trustees will discuss the report at their meeting in Brockville on Wednesday night. A decision could be made at that time to launch an accommodation review process involving the proposed closures.
