Too many boards, says former superintendent

In the wake of the community outcry against proposed school closures across SDG and Cornwall, Ken MacLennan is advocating for a permanent solution to cash-strapped school boards.

MacLennan hopes those concerned with the current state of affairs attend his informational session at Char-Lan District High School, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

MacLennan, a former superintendent of the SDG public school board, has researched the subject of provincial funding for both Catholic and public school education for much of his retirement years.

“I seek your support for funding of one public English board and one public French board as done by Quebec in the mid 1990s,” MacLennan said in a media release.
