A school-closure study is now also underway for Cornwall’s Catholic schools.
But Cornwall Trustee Todd Lalonde repeatedly stressed in an interview Wednesday the board has to hear from parents, students and the general public before concrete plans take shape.
Lalonde voted along with other Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario trustees on Tuesday in Kemptville to start a Cornwall Area Pupil Accommodation Review study, which will run from now until May 2.
“It’s only a review that we have to put in place so we can have conversation,” Lalonde said.
Input from a series of meetings and other communication avenues will be rolled into a recommendation for the board in April 2017 and then presented in May.
