CUPE Ontario is currently conducting a cross-province tour to raise awareness about the urgent need to pass the Time To Care Act, Bill 33. This bill would legislate a minimum of 4 hours of hands-on care a day per resident in long-term care. CUPE Ontario Secretary-Treasurer Candace Rennick was joined by an amazing group of frontline workers, residents, advocates, family members and academics at events in Peterborough on Nov. 7 and in Hamilton on Nov. 15. The tour heads north with CUPE Ontario 1st VP and OCHU President Michael Hurley Nov. 23 in North Bay and Nov. 24 in Sudbury. Please take a moment to support nursing home residents, families and workers – message your MPP to support the Time To Care Act.
