Toronto Public Library Board, workers reach tentative deal

The Toronto Public Library Board and 2,200 library workers have reached a tentative four-year contract, the union confirmed Monday morning.

The news comes after the two sides agreed to continue talks past the 12:01 a.m. strike deadline today.

In a written statement issued Monday morning, Maureen O’Reilly, the president of CUPE Local 4948, which represents library workers, called the latest round of bargainning “difficult.”
